Sports Performance & Trauma Recovery for Athletes & Performers
Proven results for restoring your confidence, identity, and mental performance starts here.
Mental & Performance Recovery Begins Here.
We are mental recovery specialists skilled in restoring confidence, identity, and performance after a performance injury or trauma from the inside out.
When an athlete or performer experiences a serious injury, the physical recovery receives immediate, expert attention. Surgeons, physical therapists, and athletic trainers mobilize quickly — and rightfully so. But what often goes unaddressed is the psychological aftermath that lingers long after the body has healed.
The moment of impact. The diagnosis that changed everything. The first time you returned to the field, the stage, or the court and froze — not because your body wasn’t ready, but because your nervous system hadn’t caught up. The quiet erosion of confidence that no amount of conditioning seems to restore. The grief of a career interrupted, a season lost, or an identity built over a lifetime suddenly placed in question.
These are not signs of weakness. They are signs of unprocessed trauma — and they respond to the right clinical intervention.
Who This Intensive Is Designed For
This specialized intensive was created for athletes and performers navigating the psychological impact of sports and performance-related trauma, including:
— Professional, semi-professional, and collegiate athletes recovering from career-altering injuries
— Athletes preparing for return to competition after physical recovery is complete
— Performers — including dancers, actors, and musicians — experiencing performance freeze, stage anxiety, or identity disruption following an injury or career setback
— Individuals navigating the grief and identity loss of forced retirement or removal from a team due to injury
— Athletes and performers experiencing depression, loss of confidence, or diminished sense of self following a traumatic performance event or concussion
A Note to Agents, Athletic Trainers, and Sports Medicine Professionals
If you are supporting an athlete or performer whose physical recovery is complete but whose psychological readiness remains compromised, this intensive offers a structured, evidence-based pathway to restoration. The Sports Performance & Trauma Intensive is designed to work alongside existing medical and rehabilitation care — not replace it. We welcome referral conversations and can provide documentation of treatment upon client consent.

The Clinical Approach
This intensive draws on two of the most effective trauma-informed modalities available for sports performance and trauma recovery:
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART is used to directly target and reprocess the traumatic memory of the injury event, the performance disruption, or the moment of career interruption. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART does not require extensive verbal processing of painful experiences. Instead, it uses voluntary eye movements and guided imagery to reduce the emotional charge attached to distressing memories — allowing the athlete or performer to recall the event without being retraumatized by it. Most clients experience significant relief within a single focused session.
Somatic Experiencing
Once the trauma of the event has been processed, Somatic Experiencing addresses what remains in the body — the fight, flight, or freeze responses that show up as performance hesitation, pre-competition anxiety, stage fright, or the involuntary tension that surfaces the moment you step back into your arena. Somatic work restores the nervous system’s natural capacity for calm, confidence, and presence under pressure — the foundation every athlete and performer needs to return to peak performance.
Together, these modalities address both the memory and the body — which is where sports performance trauma lives, and where lasting recovery must happen.

What Becomes Possible
Athletes and performers who complete this intensive often describe a fundamental shift — not just in how they perform, but in how they relate to themselves. The goal is not simply to return to the level of performance you had before. It is to restore your relationship with your body, your confidence, and your identity as a competitor and creator — with greater self-awareness and resilience than you brought to your career before the injury.
